SOF
The SOF (Solar Occultation Flux) instrument system is designed to measure gas emissions (flux) of VOCs and other gases using direct solar IR-light (SOF). The system consists of an IR-spectrometer and a 360° Solar Tracker mounted on an Optical Platform. The system also includes, control units, damping cushion, lifting pillar and mounting beams. IT-infrastructure including GPS-receiver, computer and monitor can also be provided on request.
Note: the SOF system requires a mobile platform (vehicle) with direct solar access for the Solar Tracker.
Note: Local wind measurements are needed for the flux calculations.
